Homework

Homework sets will be assigned on Thursday of each week. They will be due on the 2nd Thursday after posting (14 days later). Homework sets should be placed in the 580 homework box (located on the north side of Loomis Lab, between rooms 267 and 271 LLP) by 05:00PM on the day of the due date. Unless a valid, verifyable excuse is given, homework sets which are submitted late will receive a 50% penalty. Homework sets which are turned in after 5:00pm on the 3rd Thursday after posting (21 days after the set is first posted) will receive no credit. You may discuss the homework problems with your classmates, but each student is required to provide his/her own solutions.

Grading policies

Your grade will be based on the homework assignments (~ 75%), mid term (~10%) and final (~15%) exams.

Midterm and final exam instruction

Final covers the 9th week to the 16th week of the class. You are not allowed to bring your textbooks, computers, tablets, calculators, etc. However, you are allowed to bring your own formula sheet that you create. Only 2 letter size papers (i.e., 4 pages in total) are allowed for the formula sheet.
