Lecture
Be sure to do the prelecture and checkpoint before the due date (no late work allowed), they are available at https://smart.physics.illinois.edu/
Also be sure to watch the lecture videos. Although this is an online class (and videos can be watched asynchronously), these lectures help set the foundation for concepts and calculations you will be doing in lab, discussion and on the exams.
Homework
You can access the content at https://smart.physics.illinois.edu/ and you have full access for the first two weeks free of charge.
Sometime in the first two weeks you will need to pay for access by purchasing a code through the UIUC bookstore.

Discussion
Discussion will be held synchronously, online through Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday. You must attend your assigned discussion time. Students must be on time and prepared for discussion. You will need paper, pencil/pen and a calculator. You will also be taking both discussion quizzes and course exams during this discussion time period. Your work will be uploaded to gradescope.com for grading.
Laboratory
Labs will be asynchronous. However, your lab time on Monday and Wednesday is a time to ask questions of your lab TA (through Zoom) and troubleshoot any IOLab questions you have . Please review the required materials list to see what you need. You will upload your lab reports to gradescope.com for grading.

Excused Absences
- Please submit your excused absence no later than 12 business days after your absence via the Excused Absences application.
