Fundamentals of static and seismic slope stability and shear strength; seepage in composite sections and anisotropic materials; methods of stability analyses; mechanism of failure of natural and man-made slopes; compaction; field observations. Course Information: 4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: CEE 483 - Applied Soil Mechanics.
