Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in civil and environmental engineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. Restricted to online non-degree, online MCS, online MSAE, online MSME, and online MSCE students. Non-Degree students may enroll on a space-available basis with consent of Program Coordinator, Meg Griffin (mgriffn@illinois.edu).
Course Description
The topics covered in this graduate class include:
1. Unbonded and Bonded Post-tensioned Concrete Systems
2. Working Stress Design, Flexural & Shear Design, Moment-Curvature of PT Members
3. Post-tensioned Concrete Two-way Slab, Flat Plates, and Moment Frames
4. Post-tensioning Field Fundamentals, Inspection and Repair
5. Long-term PT Force Loss, Deflection, Camber, etc.
