In this homework, whenever you are asked to assess the evidence against a claim, you must:

  • write the p-value in terms of a definite integral
  • evaluate the p-value using software (such as Wolfram Alpha)
  • state whether or not you reject the claim

  4. (15 points) Textbook problem 7.7. In parts (a) and (b), express your answers in terms of \( \text{popmean}(\{L\}) \), \( \text{popmean}(\{F\}) \), \( \text{popsd}(\{L\}) \) or \( \text{popsd}(\{F\}) \), where \(\{L\}\) and \(\{F\}\) are the weights of the entire populations of lean and fatty Zucker rats, respectively. In part (c), provide numerical answers (two of which will be the same.)
