NOTES
2/12/10: Midterm Exam 1 was rescored at 10am on Friday, February 12, to correct the key used to grade the "You observe a pendulum swinging..." question. The above Midterm Exam 1 Results by Question option and the scores now stored in the on-line gradebook reflect the intended correct answer (A) to that question (not the initially and incorrectly keyed C).
2/11/10: Before the first midterm exam was scored, it was determined that the "Why is it very difficult to open a door..." question was ambiguous and decided that choice "d" would also be awarded credit as a correct answer to that question -- in addition to the intended correct answer, which was choice "a". This grading change was made only in the Midterm Exam 1 scores stored in the gradebook and not in the "Midterm Exam 1 Results by Question" utility above. So if (and only if) you marked "d" on that question, you will find that, due to this special scoring, your exam score stored in the gradebook is one point higher than your total in the by-question utility and that that question still appears to be marked wrong in that utility.
2/3/10: Question 7 in Homework 2 was on a subject not being covered in PHYS 140 this time. Everyone has gotten credit for that question. If you marked choice 2 as your answer, you already had credit and your score stored in the gradebook is the same as the total indicated in the (now scored) Homework 2 exercise. If you did not mark choice 2, your score stored in the gradebook is one point higher than the total indicated in the Homework 2 exercise.
