Physics 140 Homework

INSTRUCTIONS:

Each homework set consists of 10 multiple-choice questions and is worth 10 points. You score 1 point for each question for which you have the correct answer stored at the deadline (listed above) for that set. Answers cannot be stored after the deadline for the set has passed. (No late homework is accepted.) Each set becomes available one week before it is due. At the end of the semester, your lowest homework set score will be dropped in calculating your final homework total.

There is a Submit button after every problem in every homework set. Your answers are not actually stored in your records unless and until you click on the Submit button. If you enter or change an answer (or answers) and then back out of the set without clicking on Submit, those new answers will not appear in your records. You can click on Submit after you enter or change each answer, but that's not actually necessary; you just need to remember to click on Submit before you get back out of the set (if you entered or changed any answer in that set).

To answer a question initially or to change your answer to a question, just click on your new intended answer. You can work on a homework set over as many sessions as you wish (as long as they are before the deadline for that set). Your answers from your previous session will be in place when you come back (as long as you remembered to click on the Submit button before you left).

When you click on the Submit button, you will see a confirmation message, but you will not see any indication of your score, or whether or not the answers you current have marked are the correct answers, or what the correct answers are. Scoring of each homework set is done only when the deadline for that set has passed. Go back into the set after the deadline to see the correct answers and an indication of which questions you answered correctly. A day or two later, you can go to the Homework page of the Student Gradebook to see your score for that set.
