How can you show that the sun is much farther than the moon? (S>>M)

• Aristarchus (250 BC) found ? ~ 3 degrees, or about 1/100 of a full circle

• So M/S = 2p / 100 or S/M = 100/ 2p or S is about 20M.

• But we still do not know M or S !
