Course Grading
Your grade will be based on your performance on the classroom attendance/participation, homework assignments, quizzes, the two midterm exams, and the final exam. The total number of points possible in the course will be 1000. The breakdown will be as follows:

Participation

Participation grades will be determined by means of i>clicker questions during lecture.

You will receive full participation credit for the day if answering the i>clicker questions during lecture.

Participation is worth 3 points per lecture, up to a maximum of 60 points for the semester.

You will not be graded on correctness; if you give an answer for each question, you will receive full credit for that day.
Homework

Homework assignments for this course will be completed online.

Homework sets will be made available on Monday at noon each week.

The assignments will be due on Sunday by midnight.

Late homework will receive a grade of zero.
Quizzes

Short quizzes will be given in class.

The quizzes will cover the reading assignment for the current week.

Solutions will be posted after the quiz each week.
-
At the end of the semester, your lowest quiz grade will be dropped.
Exams

There will be two midterm exams and one final exam.
