The Relationship Between x(t), v(t), and a(t) during Simple Harmonic Motion

As illustrated here, the velocity, v(t), and acceleration, a(t), of the mass during simple harmonic motion have phase shifts relative to the displacement, x(t), of -1.57 and -3.14 radians, respectively, as expected. Also, the measured maximum velocity and acceleration are related to the measured maximum displacement, A, by vmax=wA and amax=w2A, where w is the angular frequency.
