SPECIAL TRAINING SESSIONS ON ELECTRIC POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
Data from previous semesters show that on every past 212
final exam, more than 45% of students lose points on problems asking to
calculate the electric potential using the line integral of the electric
field -∫E·dl.
Therefore, this semester, the Physics Education Research
group is offering half hour training sessions specifically focused on this
type of problems. If you feel you have difficulty understanding and
applying -∫E·dl to various situations, feel free to
register for one of these sessions via this link.:
The sessions will be held in the afternoons of May 6th
and May 7th, in Loomis room 255.
If you are unable to come to any of these sessions, you
could also contact Zhongzhou Chen at zchen22@illinois.edu to arrange for an
individual session.
(You are also welcome to bring other physics 212
problems to discuss after each session.)
The
multimedia movie used in these sessions can be accessed
here.
