World
Wide Web Information:
- This
course uses the WWW for many aspects, including homework, gradebook,
and storage of all lecture slides and most class handouts.
- You
need to become familiar with the Web, and to have access to a fairly
recent web browser. This is available on computers at CCSO and
housing division computer sites.
- Many
homework pages use symbol font for mathematical equations. Without
symbol font equations will be difficult to read, e.g. you will see
"p" instead of "pi". Symbol font is usually available on Macs and PCs
without any special effort. Unix systems must be correctly configured.
The Engineering College workstations were reconfigured in January,
1998. Contact your site administrator, if you are having difficulty.
- You
can find the Physics 213 home page using the URL http://online.physics.uiuc.edu/courses/phys213.
A detailed course description
including policy on grading and absences may be found there.

primary reference for the course is Elements
