4/8/2013 Here is a discussion of Lagrangians with electromagnetic fields.

5/2/2013 I was asked to post solutions to the “additional” and “extra” final review problems. Here is the solution to the additional and here is the solution to the extra. The extra final problem d) has lots of mistakes.

(1) The grounded shell is cylindrical.

(2) Use the solution in a region where r <s <R so both a_1 and b_1 terms are present.
