In the lower part of figure 17 of Kittel Chapter 2
is shown scattering of x-rays from a powder of KBr. What
is the wavelength of the x-ray? The energy of the x-ray?
Suppose there were no labels on the peaks in the lower part of
figure 17 of Kittel Chapter 2. How could you tell just from
the positions of the peaks that the crystal is fcc and not bcc?
