Texts, lecture notes, and other references

 There are several excellent references on the physics of the early universe. The primary focus of this course will be the particle physics of the (homogeneous) early universe. Kolb and Turner, the recommended course textbook, is the classic on this topic.  There have been many advances in our experimental understanding of the early universe since its first publication, but nonetheless it remains an excellent general reference and introduction to the field.  Other excellent references are

• Modern Cosmology, by Dodelson - this text is also a standard reference, and more modern, if less particle-y, than Kolb and Turner; its discussion of the inhomogeneous universe is a particular strength
