Final Exam
Final Exam Times are assigned by registered lecture section. Finals will be given online via CBTF. Some times will be available.
- A1: Friday Dec 11 at 8am
- A2: Friday Dec 18 at 8am
- A3: Wednesday Dec 16 at 8am
- A4: Friday Dec 18 at 7pm
Lecture
Students must be on time and prepared for lecture.
- All students taking physics courses at the U of I, Fall 2020 are covered to use iClicker Cloud at no additional cost to the student.
- Before your first lecture, go to https://www.iclicker.com.
- If this is your first time using this application, click the "Create an Account" link at the top. Otherwise Sign In.
- Please use your netid@illinois.edu email address to create an account.
- Once logged in, click the plus sign in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Enter "Physics Dept: University of Illinois at Urbana" for your institution.
- There are four different iClicker Cloud courses setup for Physics 212 this semester. Be sure you note which section you are registered for (A1, A2, A3, A4), but you can join any of them. Enter "Physics 212 [your section goes here] Fall 2020" as the course name (i.e. "Physics 212 A1 Fall 2020")

Payment Information
You will need to pay for access to the course materials for this course. You will have 14 days from the first day of classes to submit your payment to be able to receive credit for the courses.
First, go to http://macmillanlearning.com to purchase an access code.
Then, log into https://smart.physics.illinois.edu. You should see a Redeem link. Enter the access code and click the Redeem Code button.
Once you do this, you have successfully paid for the course.
Discussion
Students must be on time and prepared for discussion.
- Review Discussion Zoom Links to get the link for your discussion section.
- You will upload your discussion problems to GradeScope for grading.
Laboratory
Students must be on time and prepared for labs.
- Each student will need an IOLab device and an Accessory Pack for Electricity and Magnetism.
- You will do a hands-on Pre-Lab activity using your IOLab device before every lab.
You will work within groups in your weekly lab sections, to design and understand experiments and experimental data using your IOLab device. - You will upload your lab reports to my.physics for grading.
- Review Lab Zoom Links to get the link for your lab section. As you can see on the schedule, Lab 1 starts the week September 14th.
Exams
- Go to the CBTF scheduler and add the PHYS 212 course in order to receive automated notifications to sign up for exams this semester.
