Office Hours

See Staff Information for office hours and their location. You may “walk in” to office hours or make an appointment in advance. You are welcome to visit with the professor, your teaching assistant, or any of the other teaching assistants for the course.
Writers’ Workshop
The Writers Workshop is an excellent campus-wide service offered to students who are interested in improving their writing, including drafts of specific writing assignments and efforts. You can meet with tutors in person at a number of locations (by appointment and through “walk in”) and online. Visit here to learn more.
Grainger Library Workshops on Research Skills
The Grainger Engineering Library will host research skills workshops throughout the semester, with sessions on Searching Techniques & Finding Sources (Jan 27 or 28), How to Use Databases (Feb. 10 or 11), and How to Research and Write a Literature Review (Mar. 2 or 3), all beginning at 6 pm in Room 335.

Personal Support Resources
To obtain disability-related academic adjustments and/or auxiliary aids, notify the professor / your TA and the Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) as soon as possible after the start of the semester and keep in touch throughout the term to ensure you are receiving any needed support.
Help is available free of charge to all students for symptoms of anxiety, depression, or feelings of being overwhelmed, stressed, or in crisis at the Counseling Center (8:00am-5:00pm) and McKinley Mental Health (8:00am-5:00pm). For after-hours crisis care, the Counseling Center and McKinley Health Center collaborate with Rosecrance Central Illinois—available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year—at the Crisis Line: (217) 359-4141.
For assistance, students can also consult with the Student Assistance Center Dean on Duty, who is available Monday-Friday from 10:00am-3:00pm, or an Emergency Dean, who is on-call after business hours. To reach the SAC Dean on Duty or the Emergency Dean, call (217) 333-0050. College offices and the academic deans can also provide assistance for academically related and personal problems. Sexual Misconduct Policy and Reporting
The University of Illinois is committed to combating sexual misconduct. Information about resources and reporting is available at wecare.illinois.edu. It is important for students to know that faculty and staff members are required to report any instances of sexual misconduct to the University’s Title IX and Disability Office. In turn, an individual with the Title IX and Disability Office will provide information about rights and options, including accommodations, support services, the campus disciplinary process, and law enforcement options.
