Student Projects/Experimental Results
Spring Semester 2005:

• Michael Babbit designed and built a modified version of a Fender 5F2-A Tweed-Era Princeton Amp

• Tyler Dare used acoustical software to design a multi-purpose auditorium

• Farsheed Hamidi-Toosi and Jason Laska investigated the use of DSPs for all sorts of sound effects/sound processing

• Lee Feder repaired and restored a Fender Twin Reverb Amp - it sounded fabulous when done!

• Nick Kleeman repaired a pair of speakers and speaker cabinets - sounded great when done!

• James Milsk fixed/rebuilt a vintage Rickenbacker M-10 amp

• Mark Palenik developed his own software program to analyze the harmonic content of musical sounds

• Michael Peterson developed developed a compact, portable binaural recording system

• Jessica Phillippe designed and built a Talk Box
  Jessica Phillippe (with Ben Wojtowicz) designed and built a FX box that used a 4-quadrant multiplier for a number of neat sound FX!

• Chuck Stelzner analyzed the harmonic content of "death-metal"/throat growls, and found out some very interesting things!

• Jason Strohmaier designed and built his own high-end CD player!

• Nicholas Waggoner and Chris McGilliard developed software to morph one musical tune into another

• Ben Wojtowicz (with Jessica Phillippe) designed and built a FX box that used a 4-quadrant multiplier for a number of neat sound FX!
  Ben Wojtowicz also investigated the acoustic/mechanical vibrational properties of a number of wooden musical instruments
  Ben Wojtowicz also tested and measured the performance properties of a 60 W tube amplifier that he had previously designed and built
