Course Grading
Course grading will proceed in compliance with University policy as given in Article 3, Part 1 of the Student Code.

You will be able to view your grades on all components of the course using the course gradebook.
Grading
Your final grade for Physics 436 will be based upon your total score on all the components of the course.
This semester we will be offering two different grading schemes based on whether or not students would like to attend synchronous lectures. The default grading scheme will be Attendance Opt-in. You can sign up for the attendance opt-out grading scheme in your student gradebook during the first two weeks of the course (8/26/2024 9:00 AM - 9/9/2024 10:00 PM) . The two grading schemes are outlined below:

*Late HW Penalties. The Homework assignments are due by 11:59pm on the Friday after they are handed out. A 30% penalty will be charged for late homework handed in up to 11:59pm on the next Friday evening, a week later. After that time, no credit will be given.
**Students arriving later than 15 minutes after the start of discussion section will not receive credit for discussion.
