Announcements

Discussion starts Monday 08/24!

The first lecture for Phys 325 is on Tuesday August 25 at noon in Loomis 141.

This class will be a blend of remote and in-person. Some students will be completely online, but most students will be doing both. For lectures, the giant lecture hall in Loomis (141) is only allowed to hold about 40 students, so that means that students can only attend one of the two lectures per week. Students should go by their ID number: if the last digit of your UIN is even, you are face to face on Tuesday. If your UIN is odd, you are face to face on Thursday.  At least to start, all discussions will be purely online. All lectures will be recorded.

Please see the course description for an explanation of how this course works.  The course description also gives important details on our policies for missed exams, homework & quizzes. Also, please consult the schedule to help you keep track of what is due when. Your grades will be updated to the online gradebook, please check this regularly to ensure your scores are begin recorded accurately.

Excused Absences

Please submit your excused absence no later than 14 days from your absence via the Excused Absences application. The count begins the day of your absence.

A Piazza page for this course is available, providing a space where students are encouraged to talk to each other and learn collaboratively.

Also, there is a cloud-based Mathematica that UIUC students can use: click here for more details
